Why six implants

With six implants the bite is shared across more points, so each one carries less load. The bridge is supported along its whole length instead of mainly at the ends. That lets us make it thinner and more natural looking without giving up strength, and it leaves a margin of safety if one implant ever needs attention.

A more natural arch

Because the bridge has support at the back as well as the front, we can shape it closer to real teeth, with a lighter profile against the gums and lips. Patients often say it's easier to speak with and less noticeable to their tongue than a bulkier arch.

Built to last

Zirconia is the strongest material used for full arch bridges. It resists chipping, doesn't stain from coffee or wine, and holds its color. Paired with six implants, it's the combination we choose when we want the result to last as long as possible.

Is it right for you

Good candidates

You may be a good fit for All-on-6 if any of these sound familiar. The only way to know for sure is a scan and an exam at our Brentwood or Burbank office.

  • You're missing most of your teeth in one jaw, or they're failing
  • You have enough bone across the arch for six implants
  • You want the strongest, most natural-looking fixed result
  • You're ready to stop repairing teeth one at a time
The Process

What to expect

  1. First visit

    Consultation

A private visit with your doctor. We take a 3D CBCT scan, photos and a digital impression, then talk through what you want your smile to look like.

  2. Before surgery

    Planning

Your doctor places every implant on the scan, checks bone depth and nerve position, and designs the shape, length and shade of your teeth.

  3. Surgery day

    Surgery day

Teeth that can't be saved are removed and the implants are placed, with sedation if you prefer. A fixed temporary arch is attached before you leave.

  4. 3 to 6 months

    Healing

Over the next three to six months the implants fuse to the bone. You eat softer foods and come in for short check-ins.

  5. Final fitting

    Final arch

We scan again and make your permanent zirconia bridge, then fit and fine-tune it. Cleanings and checkups continue with the same office.

Questions

About All-on-6

Is All-on-6 better than All-on-4?

Neither is better for everyone. Six implants give more support when the bone allows it. Four is designed for people with less bone. Your scan decides which is right for you.

How long does surgery take?

Usually a few hours per arch. Most patients choose sedation and remember very little of it.

Can I do both arches at once?

Often, yes. Many patients have upper and lower arches done on the same day. Your doctor will tell you if spacing them out is better in your case.

How do I clean it?

You brush it like natural teeth and use a water flosser under the bridge. We clean around the implants at regular checkups.
